Comments

Former resident: “When I was in high school, we
had one African American student. There were a
couple of others before I got to high school, including
his brother and cousin; his brother was a star running
back for the football team. The lone black student at
Winnebago High School while I was there wound up
expelled – we heard it was for stealing a teacher’s VCR
(after he’d already been in plenty of other trouble
before).”
