Comments
Westland organized its own school district circa 1947,
to keep children out the Inkster schools. Inkster is an
interracial town.
“My 8-year-old grandson was called ‘nigger’ by a
schoolmate in Westland. His parents were
unprejudiced and were horrified by their son’s act;
they agreed he got it from schoolmates.”
