Comments
Thomas County expelled its Jews in 1862, “accusing
them of extortion, speculation, and counterfeiting.” No
Jews lived in Thomas County until at least 1900. The
US Census stopped collecting data on religion around
1920 , so census data on the Jewish population is no
longer available.
