Comments
Stoneboro or Sandy Lake in Mercer Co. was settled by fugitive or emancipated slaves, c.1820-24. Run out of town, though they owned property, in 1828, left en masse. Cemetery remains; blacks are still buried there, tho none live there now–according to an email tip.
