OK Resident, 2008-
“i was a minister in Hominy OK in the early 80s…while I was there, a black physician moved into Skiatook (25 mi to the east) a previously all white town. after a year, he went on vacation. his house burned to the ground. i never heard any official explanation, but the word of mouth talk was the klan burned it.

OK Resident, 2014-
“I’ve heard the old timers including my uncles and grandfather who have lived in Skiatook since the 60’s talk about the same white sign described in the post about Barnsdall…. I remember flyers for KKK rallies being put in driveways and mail boxes growing up until I was about 17 or 18, I am 30 now.”
