John Worthington was robbed and burned in his home by two men and a woman, including a wife and husband, “Blind Tom,” Mr. Thomas, and his wife, in 1866. Mr. Thomas confessed to burning down Lewis Lavender’s house and another house. They were then apparently lynched.
