Comments

In 1970 the US Census says that two blacks lived in Roanoke, however, there were no black households. The same goes for 1950 resulting in zero black households.

A resident had the spouse of her daughter, who happened to be African American, come to visit c. 1980 and they had to stay somewhere else overnight because according to the town rule blacks were not allowed to stay overnight.
