Comments

In 1929, white citizens of North Platte rioted and
expelled the city’s black population. Those left in 1930
were overwhelmingly male, indicating either live-in
domestic workers or some sort of institution. As the
town was a major switching for the Union Pacific, they
may have been railroad workers.
