Lafayette, TN is in Macon County, where blacks were run out around 1910. The expulsion of blacks from Lafayette, TN is documented in Harold Blankenship’s History of Macon County, Tennessee (1986). Blacks were run out of the town in the aftermath of the John [a.k.a. Dave] Winston lynching in that city.
