%u201CGarden City kept Jews out. Center of
Long Island (N/S), near NYC. Relatives reported to my
family that about 1957, they, as Jews, were unable to
buy property in Garden City (they settled in Great
Neck). I know no other details. Others said the same
thing to me about Garden City. It was ‘common
knowledge.'”
