While some report that Faith had a sundown sign,
older residents of the town say it did not: “They readily
agree that blacks were not welcome and that there
were no blacks residing in the city limits of Faith for
many years, but deny any actual signage to that affect.
They did not feel comfortable speaking with ‘an
outsider’ who ‘writes books’ if you know what I mean!”
