Email testimony from 02/24/2014 claims Brooksville to still be sundown town: “Surely is still a sundown town. Just put up at public transportation bench in the small town and panic set in worrying the blacks will “infest the town.” Very sad. If a black student enters Brookville’s school district, chances are they transfer to Northmont to avoid the terrible bullying. Very sad place.”
A county employee points out that “Brookeville is one of the most racist communities in Ohio. Is still a sundown town, I’m a county employee and these people don’t like seeing me at night… .”
