An email from a longtime resident of Bradford: “I found a KKK manual in the attic above the garage. Mr. Long was a member of the Victory Club. There was an old church near the corner of Mechanic street and I think congress…that was the black church at one time before they were all ran out. I am not sure if it was the 30’s, 40’s, or the 50’s. But when we came in the 80’s there were zero!!! According to the grapevine they ran them out complete with burning crosses and I got the impression there was even more ominous activity that took place as well.”
