According to a resident of the area in the 1950s, blacks were not allowed in Blairsville (which is in Union Co.) after dark. More confirmation needed.

One person reported that their grandmother lived there, part of the last black family that did live there, until 1944 when her mother died and they sold the house. They reported that the family was not mistreated.
