Q. Have History Textbooks Gotten Any Better Since the Latest Version of Lies My Teacher Told Me?

I don’t know. I doubt it. But I haven’t read new textbooks since I wrote the 2007 edition of Lies. For years I’ve been saying that I would never review a third batch. “Nothing could get me to read another dozen high-school history textbooks,” I tell audiences. “They are just too boring.” I certainly hope textbooks have improved since the mid-2000s. Why not get hold of the one used in your school and see how it compares with the ones I talk about in Lies? For everyone’s sake, I hope you decide that it is better. If not, speak up when you know it’s wrong or incomplete.
