Comments
In December 1891, the town of Hoodoo attempted to
run out its Chinese population. Shortly before that, a
local judge had ruled that the lease of mining land to
Chinese Americans was invalid. he was overturned by
the state Supreme Court in 1893 and some Chinese
returned to the area.
Hoodoo no longer exists as a town, acc. to the census. It had a post office in the 1890s but no longer does.
