As of 2004 it had 0 Blacks. From what I had heard from my wife and her family there has been a fair amount of opposition to the movement of Latinos into Milan. My brother-in-law worked at ConAgra in Milan (minimum wage, which at the time was $5.15/hr) for about six months. It appears from all reports that the food processing industry (which is very large in the rural areas of Missouri) is largely being staffed by Latinos.
